Description :	Ce retable s'articule sur trois niveaux horizontaux et trois pans verticaux, dans un décor apparenté aux oeuvres lavalloises. Le soubassement comprend l'emplacement d'un autel central disparu, encadré aux deux extrémités d'une porte. Le niveau central est composé au centre d'un tableau représentant une Descente de croix, signé Gouezou peintre (artiste originaire de saint-Brieuc et né en 1821. Cette toile est flanquée de deux colonnes à chapiteaux corinthiens. Dans les ailes, statues de saint Pierre, au Nord, saint Paul. Entablement avec double frise. Deux personnages sculptés de part et d'autre du fronton. Le niveau supérieur comprend trois niches dans un décor d'angelots, de frontons à volutes, de pots, de chutes de fleurs et de colonnettes. Au centre, statue de saint Méliau, couronné et au Nord, statue de saint Joseph et l'enfant Jésus et au Sud, sainte Marguerite orante et le dragon.

Historique :	Incurvé aux extrémités pour s'adapter au chevet de l'édifice pour lequel il avait été construit, le retable a été déposé lors de la démolition de cette église vers 1940 et remonté dans le nouvel édifice (dont le chevet est plat) vers 1947.
