Description :	Retable avec toile peinte et maître-autel et balustrade de communion, bois sculpté, marbre polychrome et pierre blanche, 17e siècle. Le retable se divise en trois parties délimitées par quatre colonnes qui supportent des entablements. La partie centrale est ornée d'un grand tableau, elle est amortie d'un fronton cintré. Ces côtés, incurvés pour épouser la forme du choeur, sont garnis de deux niches au-dessus desquelles, des écussons, malheureusement martelés pendant la Révolution, sont surmontées d'une couronne portée par des anges. Dans les niches, statues de sainte Anne et saint Joachim. Au-dessous, des médaillons unis surmontent deux portes. L'autel, en bois sculpté et doré, orné de statuettes, est de la seconde moitié du 18e siècle.

Historique :	Les travaux de construction de la chapelle commencèrent en 1661, mais le maître-autel ne fut exécuté qu'après un contrat du 17 mars 1684, passé entre le recteur du collège et Jean Boffrand, architecte et sculpteur de Nantes.
