Description :	Ce type de décor est assez atypique sur des chaises à porteur où généralement le volet héraldique est placé dessus. Il a été possible de repérer trois scènes, Ariane abandonnée par Thésée (coté gauche), l'enlèvement d'Europe par Zeus, métamorphosé en taureau (face) et Léda et le cygne (côté droit).

Historique :	L'appellation de cette chaise à porteur dite de la Duchesse de Berry pose question puisque la duchesse de Berry, Marie-Louise-Élisabeth d'Orléans, est décédée en 1719, et que la Duchesse de Berry suivante, Marie-Caroline de Bourbon-Sicile, lui succède à ce titre seulement en 1798. La chaise à porteur date clairement, du point de vue de son style, des années 1760 - 1770. Aujourd’hui, elle sert de petit présentoir mais tous les éléments de garniture de siège sont encore en place et fonctionnels.
